This is a monthly event that will be featuring a revert/convert/new Muslim who will be sharing her story with the group. This is a casual setting where women can get together and exchange resources stories and ideas.
A high school Social Studies teacher, Sr. Fatima Sabour was raised in Mexico as a devout Baptist who embraced Islam in 1983. Her passion in life is to give back to others, so she left the world of finance and banking to teach History, once she became a mother. Later she opened her home to children in custody of Child Protective Services, (CPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, (DACA). Currently, she’s a Network Marketer and manages her free time between teaching at local Islamic Sunday Schools, Inter-faith programs and various forms of social activism. She co-founded M.A.N.A. (Muslim Ambassadors of North America), an outreach organization aimed at serving humanity by bridging gaps and promoting understanding within and between faiths, cultures, and communities. Sabour frequently delivers lectures at local schools, churches and various Islamic centers throughout the country.
