Asma Mirza is one of the youngest female tech entrepreneurs in the United States. Asma has been named among the Top 10 Female Entrepreneurs in Texas, and her company has been named in Top 5 Startups Globally by Google. Asma founded and was the former CEO of the world’s first genetics-based matching app, and now serves as a founder and CEO of Reveal Technologies, a software company that digitally
recreates human eyesight. Before gaining traction in the startup industry, Asma was leading tech-interventions in low and middle-income countries by creating solutions for refugee healthcare. She holds a graduate degree in Global Health and Human Rights from Duke University, and a B.S in chemistry and Molecular Biology from HBU. Though she has lived and worked in Haiti, Pakistan, and Jordan, Houston is her hometown. Asma serves on the advisory board for Social Mama, an innovative social app, and has founded Houston’s first Muslim multi-art collective, MACH, and its sister-collective, Performing Arts Mosaic-Houston. Asma was recently selected as a 2019-2020 fellow of the prestigious Leadership Houston initiative. Asma is a Pakistani-American who is passionate about human rights, technology, faith, and creative innovation, and speaks four different languages.
